Today is the day! We are so excited and honored to be performing at the American Choral Directors’ Association Conference. We have been working hard in rehearsals to perfect our concert program for our two concerts later today. Thank you so much again for supporting The Cornell University Chorus and our trip to the ACDA conference.

Since our crowdfunding campaign, we have been reminiscing on our January Gulf Coast Tour to Texas, Louisiana, and Florida. On this tour, we performed in eleven concerts, went on a swamp tour in New Orleans, ate enormous amounts of Cajun cuisine and Tex-Mex, spent a whole day relaxing on the beach in Sarasota, Florida, and so much more. In addition, we have been preparing for our concert in early May where we will be performing Bach’s St. Matthew Passion alongside professional soloists and instrumentalists specializing in Baroque music.

We cannot wait to check in with you in a month to let you know all about our experience at ACDA!

ACDA Crowdfunding Project Leads

With one day left in our campaign, the Chorus is happy to announce that we have surpassed our $11,000 goal with $11,225 raised towards our trip to the ACDA Eastern Division Conference this March. We are so thankful for all of the donations and support we have received this month towards our campaign.

We’re just 5 days away from our annual Vespers Concert, and we are working hard to create a spectacular performance for the Cornell and wider Ithaca community. And, we’re already planning for next year! Coming up in January is our Gulf Coast Tour to Texas, Louisiana, and Florida, and then in March we’ll be off to the ACDA Eastern Conference.  The Chorus is so excited for this unique opportunity to share our music beyond Cornell’s campus in Pittsburgh, PA!

Dear Chorus Community,

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us raise $7,071 so far towards our trip to the American Choral Directors Association Eastern Division Conference this March! This puts us at 64% of our goal fundraised, which puts us more than halfway past our goal in just two weeks. These funds will allow the Cornell University Chorus to overcome financial barriers that have prevented the group from attending conferences like this one in the past. The Chorus could not be more grateful for the support it has received during this campaign thus far.

Currently, while we continue to raise funds towards the ACDA conference, the Chorus is working hard in rehearsals with The Cornell University Glee Club to prepare for our annual Vespers services in December. These services are sure to be a great way to wrap up the school year for our current members and to perform for the wider Cornell and Ithaca community.
