Cornell Mars Rover at BOOM Showcase

April 21, 2017

This past Wednesday the team attended Cornell's Computer and Information Sciences Department's annual Bits On Our Mind (BOOM) showcase, where over 60 student based research or team projects were on display for the public to see. In addition to helping inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers, our team also walked away with the People's Choice Award!

Pushing Forward To Mock Competition

April 19, 2017

Wow! We’re just over a week in and we’ve already reached 85% on our campaign! With your generosity we’ve already secured the funds for an upgrade to our autonomy systems that we plan on implementing next year as well as a test setup for our wheel systems. Thank you so much!

As far as the team goes, this past week was a busy one for this year’s rover Athena. Below you can see a picture of Athena practicing for the Equipment Servicing Task. The team was busy all weekend testing various subsystems in preparation for next weekend’s mock competition. During our mock competition we run the team members going to competition through a full competition in one day. We’ll cover all 4 competition tasks simulating every aspect of the rules that we know – from keeping track of points to even keeping track of how long it takes to set up our rover.

Thank you so much for your support for our team and helping propel our team forward, we can’t tell you how much it means to us! We're so close to completing the campaign, with further donations helping keep our lab fully stocked for next year's rover.
