Your support is appreciated!

November 21, 2025

Sharing a message from Gail Tiyawattanaroj, MPH ’27 about how your support helps….

There are many opportunities for me as an MPH student. For example, I was impressed with the Cornell Alumni Panel. I had a chance to ask questions and gave some ideas and motivations for future career opportunities. I also took advantage from LinkedIn and Resume/ Cover Letter workshop to improve my profile. These skills are essential for us. Furthermore, there are many job resources here, such as writing guide courses, interviewing & networking, CUeLINKS, and I can consult with MPH program’s Manager for Applied Practice, Audrey, for any plan for job applications.

I went to 2025 Cornell Career Fair Days, which is a multi-day event with a wide range of careers and industries. In my opinion, it would be really good if we could hold “the Public Health Industry Days”. Events feature guest speakers and faculty from diverse sectors such as government agencies (local, state, federal), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private industry (e.g., Google, pharmaceutical companies), and non-profit organizations. They include formal presentations, informal coffee chats, and Q&A sessions. As mentioned, "Public Health Industry Days" would enhance career readiness by directly linking MPH students to diverse sector professionals for targeted networking and practical insights.

Thank you for supporting Public Health student leadership development!
