The Cornell Fashion Collective is a student-run organization that provides members of the Cornell community with an outlet to express creativity in fashion and fashion management. Each spring, our organization presents a professional runway show featuring the talent of students who both design apparel and manage the operations of the show. Our organization gives students, both undergraduate and graduate, the opportunity to practice design, demonstrate their talents, and learn how to produce a large-scale fashion event.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to present an engaging and professional runway show, providing a platform for students to collaborate, express creativity, and inspire our community.
"CFC has been an invaluable platform for my growth as a servant leader and collaborative team member. Witnessing the continuous expansion of our membership, outreach, and impact has been incredible these past 3 years. Interactions with members, faculty, and the broader Ithaca community have deepened my appreciation for fashion, with incredible appreciation to CFC. Despite challenges, my gratitude for this experience and organization knows no bounds. The lasting experiences from my CFC involvement are cherished, and I am so excited to see the culmination of our efforts this March at our 40th Annual Spring Runway Show!"
- Sarah Kim, Co-President
"The Cornell Fashion Collective holds a special place in my heart, especially as a senior about to graduate. Throughout my time at Cornell, CFC has always been a place I could go to surround myself with fellow creators, to collaborate driven by a shared passion. It's a vibrant tapestry of diverse experiences, where creativity knows no bounds. For me, it's about providing our talented members with the stage they deserve, where they can unveil their innovative designs and identities to the world. I can’t wait to see what our brilliant members come up with this year!"
-Anna Paaske, Co-President
"As a fashion design major, presenting a senior collection at the show will be a defining moment for me. CFC has allowed me the opportunity to take my designs beyond the classroom and see them on a runway with a live audience, an incredibly gratifying experience. Each year I have grown through collaborating with my peers and seeking feedback from the greater Cornell community. CFC truly excites me to create my best work and I am so proud to be a part of such a fun yet professional group who is passionate about advancing student talent."
