Of Endings and New Beginnings

December 01, 2016

Our ClancysCure Crowdfunding campaign has come to an end, but your support brings with it the promise of new beginnings for pets in the fight against cancer. We can not thank you enough. Just know that Clancy & Chase would be wagging their tails with joy, and pups like Riley and Spree do the same. Many thanks.

One Word Sums It Up: Gratitude

November 30, 2016

“Gratitude” seems like such a simple word. Can it really express the powerful and humbling feeling you’ve inspired in us at Cornell by being part of ClancysCure? We hope it does, because you have our sincere gratitude. We're grateful for your gifts, which will advance the fight against cancer, but also for the support, affirmation, and sense of community you have helped create.

Anyone who has ever lost a pet knows the sense of loneliness that often follows. You're struck by what’s not there, like nails clicking on the floor, trips to the sink to fill the water bowl, or the nudge of a nose reminding you to pay attention. Everyone who has been part of this month-long journey has reminded us all that we're not alone, and also that there is something present, not just missing. Through ClancysCure, we’re connected to one another, to animals, and to a greater good.

It has been said that gratitude requires us to see how we’ve been supported by other people. You’ve done that, and more, for which we are immensely grateful. Thank you.

Please enjoy this video with great appreciation and gratitude to you on behalf of Clancy & Chase's parents, Cornell, and animal-lovers everywhere.

Giving thanks for the good life

November 29, 2016

It turns out Thanksgiving isn't over yet.

We did it - together. Your support pushed ClancysCure over goal. Thanks for giving to this very worthy cause and supporting cancer research at Cornell's Vet College.

In gratitude, we share an update on cancer survivor Riley, a little dog with a big heart:

Riley, a Cairn Terrier, came to Cornell from Apple Country Veterinary Hospital in Hilton, New York, looking for some help.  She started making strange noises and gasping for breath. One look in her mouth showed a large mass at the back of her throat. After treatment at Cornell for oral cancer, Riley is now doing well - so well that her dad, Phil, can't even believe how great she's doing. He says that everyone who hears her story is amazed, and she acts like she was never even sick.

Because of the support of caring and generous people like you, there is hope that other pets and their families will be spared a cancer diagnosis and go on to live the good life, like Riley is now.

P.S. A little over a week ago, as the snow was falling in upstate NY, Riley and her siblings were out playing in it and, like so many kids do, eating it. She's grateful for the good life, although she may be dreaming of her next boat trip in the spring.

One week to go!

November 23, 2016

To all who have supported ClancysCure, you have our sincere gratitude on this Thanksgiving-eve.

It's hard to believe that we only have one more week - a mere SEVEN days - to meet our $10,000 goal.

Please encourage your friends, family, fellow animal lovers, neighbors, dog-walkers, and doggy daycare colleagues to share Clancys on social media or email today!

Warm wishes to you and your favourite furry friends for a happy holiday!

You can do it!

November 08, 2016

Thanks for your support of ClancysCure! We still need your help to meet our goal by November 30th. Please share the project link with your friends and fans. Now you can share Riley's story, too. Check out the video to meet her. She defines perseverance!
