ClancysCure supports canine cancer research at Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine, created by the pet parents of a beloved golden retriever named Clancy. The founders are committed to raising awareness of canine cancer, and to serve as an informational resource for fellow dog lovers. Their goal is to fund an endowment that will support canine cancer research at the Vet College at Cornell.
Clancy and his brother, Chase, were adopted by Bill and Barbara after seeing their story in a local Connecticut newspaper. Their owner at the time was moving into a nursing home, and "the boys" needed a new home. Clancy and Chase loved their new home, but were soon faced with a new challenge. A little over a year later, Clancy succumbed to hemangiosarcoma, a cancer all too often seen in golden retrievers. Bill and Barbara were devastated when, less than a year later, Chase was diagnosed with the same cancer. Although Clancy and Chase are gone, their legacy of love and hope lives on through ClancysCure.
All funds go directly to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, and 100% of donations are used to support their Canine Cancer Research. Help us change the story of other loving pet parents in the fight against cancer of ALL types, for ALL dogs.
