John R. Clark Sr., MBA '72 Professional Scholarship

The Department of Alumni Affairs at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management (Johnson) has partnered with Johnson’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) to augment the John R. Clark Sr., MBA ’72 Professional Scholarship. The John R. Clark Sr., MBA ’72 Professional Scholarship was recently established by his wife Diane, sons Kevin and John Jr, and their families, to honor the leadership and impact John R. Clark has had on decades of Johnson students. His was an extraordinary legacy founded on positivity, inclusion and aspiration. And now, by joining with the Clark family in funding the John R. Clark Sr., MBA ’72 Professional Scholarship, our collective efforts can make dreams possible for future generations of Johnson students. Your donation to the John R. Clark Sr., MBA '72 Scholarship Professional Fund will honor Mr. Clark’s legacy at Johnson in the most powerful way possible: providing opportunity for deserving Johnson students.

Any person... Any study...

Cornell’s rich tradition of diversity, inclusion and education for all continues to advance, and Johnson is proud to continue its path-breaking business education programs by offering opportunity and leadership both on campus and off in support of diverse perspectives. Access to education is a high priority at Johnson, and scholarships are an important part of ensuring an inclusive environment.

Mr. Clark worked closely with Johnson’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion to create engagement opportunities for MBA students to expose them to different points of view, offer a safe environment for these conversations to be facilitated, and fosters programs that build and strengthen the Johnson community long after graduation. With this mission in mind, the Clark family launched the John R. Clark Sr., MBA ’72 Professional Scholarship campaign at Johnson’s 2017 Diversity Awards Dinner, held in honor of John R. Clark, MBA ’72. This year’s theme, “Building Your Legacy: Keys to Lasting Impact at Johnson and Beyond," dovetailed with the Clark family’s goal of honoring their father’s rich legacy and provided the perfect moment for the announcement.

If you knew Mr. Clark personally, and would like to leave a memory, story, or a personal message to his family, you may do so here
