Thanks to everyone's support throughout our crowdfunding campaign, this past weekend LFDS was able to successfully host our 13th Annual Women of Substance Retreat! We had a weekend full of inspirational addresses, insightful information and meaningful bonding between attendees and speakers. We learned proper business dining etiquette, how to build alliances in the workplace, and most importantly how to not let anyone diminish our accomplishments or block our opportunities. We also heard from distinguished Cornell alumnae such as Dr. Chimene Liburd, Sharon Foretia, Bryna Beckler-Knoll and more!
Our attendees were able to return to campus with new professional headshots, connections with both our speakers and each other, and a fresh mindset to begin a successful spring semester! We had a great time bonding with each other away from campus and are so excited to continue these relationships throughout the rest of our time at Cornell.

We are happy to announce LFDS reached 122% of our crowdfunding goal, for a total of $8,510!???? Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and shared our campaign, your support is extremely helpful in allowing us to program our largest event of the year. We are working hard to finish up planning for our best retreat yet, and we can't wait until January!

Many thanks to all for your continued support of our annual retreat! We have reached 32% of our goal, and we look forward to keeping this momentum!
