Continuing to Develop our CubeSat

April 20, 2017

Thanks to you, we are about halfway through our fundraiser and have raised almost $1000! Because of these generous donations, our team is able to afford most of the high-cost sensors necessary to navigate space! These will be immediately ordered, added to the current spacecraft, and tested next semester.

Outside of the fundraiser, our team is hard at work  ensuring that our design is rock-solid. On the Attitude control sub-team, significant work has been conducted into our flight controller, kalman filter, and sensor spoofing in order to create an accurate 3D rigid body simulation. Embedded with this update is a small video of our 2D animation from last semester.

Our structures team has been working hard updating our CAD drawings to current specs. This project is full of constant iterations, but with this update I am including a labeled picture of our current 2U main CubeSat!

Once again, I want to thank all our donors because without your generosity, we would not be able to conduct this project! We hope to be even more successful as the project continues forward!
