Description

Give to Women in Computing at Cornell (WICC)

Women in Computing at Cornell (WICC) is a vibrant, student-run community of 2,500+ members passionate about building a more inclusive, empowering future in tech. We create opportunities that help students grow, connect, and thrive.

What your support makes possible:

Mentorship & access

  • Peer mentorship that pairs underclassmen with upperclassmen for guidance, support, and confidence-building.
  • Lunch Bunch: small, recurring lunches with faculty that introduce students to research, mentorship, and academic pathways at Cornell Bowers.

Grace Hopper Celebration Conference

  • Scholarships that send students to the world’s largest conference for women in tech.
  • Thanks to donors support, we’ve been able to send our largest cohorts ever, expanding students’ networks and career opportunities.

Career development & growth

  • Resume reviews, mock interviews, and our Cracking Your Career series, which helps students map out and pursue their dream roles.
  • Workshops on internships, full-time offers, and navigating career decisions with confidence.

Community & belonging

  • Socials, workshops, and discussions that make tech feel more human, from goal-setting and imposter syndrome to using AI as a tool for personal growth.
  • Alumni connections and company-hosted events that bring real role models and paths into focus.

Technical & industry experience

  • A Technical Committee that maintains WICC’s website and Slack tools and is growing into external collaborations with startups, where students build real, production-level features for live projects, learning by doing and giving back to the community.

WICC is more than a club; it’s a giving, growing community. Your support helps us keep expanding access, building confidence, and creating real opportunities for the next generation of women in tech.

Why give

Your gift to Women in Computing at Cornell helps turn potential into opportunity. WICC creates spaces where students feel supported, confident, and empowered to pursue careers in tech through mentorship, career development, community, and hands-on experience.

Your support directly expands access to scholarships, mentorship, and programming that opens doors and builds lasting confidence. Every contribution helps students find their path, grow their skills, and see themselves as leaders in computing.

Together, we’re building a more welcoming future in tech, one student at a time.

Read our WICC stories

“When I was still exploring majors, WICC allowed me to become part of a welcoming and determined community, which allowed me to meet other passionate individuals while doing the semester at home. As a result, I hope that I can help others enjoy and create meaningful experiences and opportunities that WICC has to offer.” —Tina

“Once at Cornell, I felt lost and overwhelmed—that is, until WICC helped me find my place within Cornell Bowers. I was able to find close friends, a personal and professional support system, and an openly inclusive community through WICC. Now, as part of the board, I’m excited to nurture that same community and environment for other Cornell Bowers students.” —Revati

“Thanks to a WICC boba chat with my mentor Femi, I discovered my love for product design. WICC isn't an org, it's my family. I cannot describe its impact on my life, and I know many others who feel the same, too!” —Tise

While our programming centers on women's experiences in tech, we welcome all students who support our mission and are committed to advancing gender equity in computing.
