Cornell Fashion Collective

ABOUT US

The Cornell Fashion Collective is a student-run organization that provides members of the Cornell community with an outlet to express their creativity in fashion and fashion management. Each spring, our organization presents a professional runway show with over 2,000 attendees, showcasing the talent of students who design apparel and manage the show's operations. We offer both undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to practice design, demonstrate their talents, and learn how to produce a large-scale fashion event.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to present an engaging, professional runway show that provides a platform for students to collaborate, express their creativity, and inspire our community.

WHAT CFC MEANS TO OUR MEMBERS

“The Cornell Fashion Collective has been one of the most meaningful parts of our experience at Cornell. Having started as new members, eventually taking on the roles of Runway Director and VP of Management, and now serving as co-presidents, we have loved every moment of growing and challenging ourselves within CFC. This organization is shaped by individuals who are passionate not only about the fashion industry, but also about coming together as a community to bring each show to life. Whether in the fall or spring, each runway is the culmination of our members' hard work, showcasing their diverse talents across design, planning, production, photography, and more. We cannot fully express the pride we feel in representing such a talented and dedicated group of members, who continue to inspire us every day. We have cherished our years with CFC and are excited to see how the organization continues to grow and evolve long after our time at Cornell.”

— Harry Bard '27 and Susanna Burr '27 | Co-Presidents

“The Cornell Fashion Collective has become an integral part of my experience at Cornell University. From being a model coordination member to taking over as Runway Director, this club has built my leadership skills and confidence in myself but more importantly, shown me the important work that goes behind running a fashion event of this scale. Most importantly, it has revealed to me the creativity that lies in every student at this school. From designers to creatives to models the club creates an inclusive environment that thrives on the success and celebration of one another."

— Mayanka Karunagaran '28 | Runway Director

“When I was researching colleges, I was always fascinated by Cornell Fashion Collective’s runway show and the creativity and talent it brought together. I never would have imagined that I would one day become Creative Director and have the opportunity to bring my own senior collection to life. CFC has been a place where I can truly express my vision and, through collaboration and the support of those around me, turn my ideas into reality. From starting as a freshman mentee to a senior to participating in every runway show since, I have learned so much from the people around me and grown both creatively and technically. One of the things I value most about CFC is the community it creates, bringing together students who share a passion for fashion and encouraging everyone to push themselves and their ideas further. I am so grateful to have been part of this organization throughout my time at Cornell and to have seen firsthand how much we can accomplish when we work together. CFC has taught me that fashion is about more than the clothes we create; it is about the people we bring together and the ideas we inspire in one another.”

— Pola Levy '27 | Creative Director, Level 4 Designer
