Education for Social Impact
eCornell collaborates with organizations that share our mission to improve lives and society through education. Our goal is simple: Extend the reach and impact of Cornell to underserved audiences, delivering high quality learning opportunities to individuals and groups who might otherwise never be able to access them.
We recognize that Cornell cannot meet its public impact goals alone. This initiative requires strong and sustainable relationships with a variety of partners – including non-profit, governmental and funding organizations – that focus on meeting local, national and international social needs.
Through these collaborations, learners gain the skills and confidence to rebuild their lives, support their communities, and create ripple effects of opportunity.
Your donation helps fund scholarships, learning resources, and outreach programs that make education possible for underserved populations. Each contribution transforms access into empowerment—proving that talent is equally distributed, even when opportunity is not.
Together, we can build a world where education opens doors for all.
Join us in advancing access, equity, and transformation.

Meet Anna – Rebuilding hope in Ukraine
When war disrupted her life, Anna found purpose through perseverance. While her fiancé defends their country, she dedicates her days to supporting the Ukrainian military and helping children in frontline areas rediscover creativity and hope. Through her studies with Cornell, Anna has built the leadership and project management skills to strengthen her community even amid crisis. Her story is a powerful reminder that learning can spark resilience in the most uncertain times.
Meet Corey – Creating second chances through education
“For people who come home and want to live differently, it’s not just about desire, it’s about access,” says Corey Marionneaux, founder and CEO of the Black Men Coalition (BMC).
Through a partnership with eCornell, BMC helps justice-involved individuals and others facing barriers to employment gain access to Cornell’s online certificate programs. Learners develop real-world skills that empower them to build careers, strengthen their confidence, and transform their futures.
Corey has seen firsthand how education changes lives. One participant, without a laptop or internet at home, came daily to BMC’s office to complete his coursework. After earning a certificate in Restaurant Management, he advanced to a district manager position overseeing multiple restaurant locations.
Corey’s work shows how education can restore opportunity and dignity, creating ripple effects of hope across entire communities.
