The Wardrobe at Cornell
The Wardrobe at Cornell
At The Wardrobe, we realize that many students face barriers to accessing professional attire, a critical element for success in professional and social events. Maybe it’s too expensive, maybe they can’t pack it properly on their journey to campus, or maybe it’s something else. Regardless of the reason, this can put talented young individuals at a disadvantage before they have a chance to showcase their abilities. So, our mission at The Wardrobe is simple yet impactful: to provide professional clothing to all students at Cornell free of cost. Last semester alone we were able to lend over 300 pieces of professional attire to students on campus through our rental system. As for a more permanent solution for students, we’ve successfully hosted several $5,000 budget Pop-Up Shops, during which we gave away 1,500+ pieces of clothing to students in need. Below are some photos!
However, we cannot accomplish our mission alone. The Wardrobe relies on the generosity and support of our community—alumni, faculty, and friends who understand the value of education and the importance of equitable opportunities.
We invite you to join us in making a difference and leveling the playing field. Here's how you can help:
Donate: Your donation, no matter the size, will go directly towards ensuring that every student who needs a suit, a pair of dress shoes, or a formal dress can access them without worry.
Spread the word: Share our mission with your network. The more people know about The Wardrobe, the larger our impact can be.
Together, we can ensure that no student misses out on opportunities due to a lack of professional attire. Let's dress our students for success and open doors to their futures.
As a registered student organization, we are committed to equal access to all of our programs and do not discriminate based on any protected identity status.
