About us:

Established in 2016, The Assorted Aces is Cornell's first premiere dance troupe with a focus on molding absolute beginners into skilled dancers. When welcoming dancers, no dance experience is necessary; in fact, we prioritize students who are completely new to dancing. Our mission is to offer the opportunity to both inexperienced and trained dancers to grow and develop in a supportive dance community.

Over the past 8 years of showcases, 3,000+ Cornell and Ithaca community members have witnessed our beginner dancers shine on stage.

Our mission/our challenge:

Every April, the Assorted Aces' annual showcase draws audiences of 800+ to Barton Hall at the heart of Cornell's campus. This year, our goal is to take showcase worldwide through streaming, making it available for friends and family at home to see. However, production costs are high, and only increasing.

Your donation will allow us to:

- Use reliable streaming to bring our audience worldwide

- Hire photographers to create team keepsakes

- Contract safe and appealing stage/light setups

- Provide choreographers with costuming budgets

Our impact: A large portion of our dancers decide to join our team after seeing our showcase—our community would not be the same without it!
