Who are we?
CUSail, a registered student organization of Cornell University, is an engineering project team that designs and manufactures an autonomous sailboat to compete in the SailBot International Robotic Sailboat Regatta. In the long term, the team hopes to construct a fleet of autonomous sailboats that can independently navigate across the world to collect oceanic data.
CUSail offers students across many disciplines the opportunity to apply what they have been learning in the classroom to real-world engineering problems. With over 30 members, the team combines cutting-edge technology with advanced mechanical design to engineer a smarter and faster boat every year.
Why should you donate to CUSail?
Support CUSail and help us navigate toward our goals!
Your donation is crucial for our mission and the constant improvement of our boat. With your generosity, we can enhance our team, maintain our fleet, and inspire the next generation of autonomous marine technology.
Building a boat is a costly endeavor, but together, we can make a difference and ensure that we can achieve our long-term goals of constructing a fleet of autonomous sailboats that can independently navigate across the world to collect oceanic data.
A $10 donation allows us to connect our boat to cellular service for telemetry and command sending.
A $20 donation helps cover the cost of all the harnessing and wiring within our boat.
A $500 donation can fund the travel, food, and lodging expenses to send a member to our annual competition!
A $1000 donation will allow us to buy top-of-the-line GPS and IMU sensors, which will improve our autonomous algorithms!
