The Cornell Fashion Collective is a student-run organization that provides members of the Cornell community with an outlet to express their creativity in fashion and fashion management. Each spring, our organization presents a professional runway show with over 2,000 attendees, showcasing the talent of students who design apparel and manage the show's operations. We offer both undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to practice design, demonstrate their talents, and learn how to produce a large-scale fashion event.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to present an engaging, professional runway show that provides a platform for students to collaborate, express their creativity, and inspire our community.
"The Cornell Fashion Collective has been a special part of my Cornell experience over the past four years. Since joining in my freshman year, I have witnessed firsthand the perseverance that defines this organization. I’m continually inspired by how much we’ve grown together, and I couldn’t be more proud to be part of a community that celebrates fashion and empowers one another. For me, CFC is where creativity and leadership intersect, bringing together artists, designers, and innovators to collaborate on something truly special. I can’t wait to see how our collective vision comes to life at the 41st Annual Runway Show this spring!"
- Julia Roos, Co-President
“Having participated in almost every part of CFC as a member and administrator, I can only praise the opportunities it has provided me to hone soft and hard skills that make me a more conscientious and engaging leader. CFC is the heart of my social and preprofessional community on campus, through which I’ve met people from every part of the University and bonded over our shared interest in fashion. There are few organizations on campus that have the reach, resources, and visibility that make CFC an enigmatic and welcoming club.”
- Mattie Nguyen, Co-President
"The Cornell Fashion Collective is the heart of Cornell’s fashion community–a locus of creativity and a springboard for fulfilling futures. As a fourth year designer and former member of the executive board, CFC has pushed me creatively and professionally. One of my favorite things about CFC is that it cultivates relationships across grade levels. From my freshman year I have felt supported, valued, and invested in every member’s excitement and success. I am grateful for this organization, and for everyone it has connected me with, for the many lessons they have taught me. It is indescribably wonderful to peer out at the runway from backstage, to see the realization of everyone’s hard work. I can’t wait for the spring show!"
