Today is the final day for the Cornell University Library's Preserve Cornell's Audio/Visual Heritage crowdfunding campaign. I want to thank the 121 donors who contributed a total of $16,115! We are pleased to have surpassed our goal of $15,000. Thank you for supporting this endeavor that ensures Cornell history is preserved and made accessible.

We continue to make nice progress on our Preserve Cornell's Audio/Visual Heritage Campaign. To date we have raised $9,224 from 56 donors and are more than halfway there. Your gift will ensure that important historical Cornell events and lectures captured on film reels, wire recordings, audio tapes and other media are preserved and accessible to scholars.

A gift of $25 provides support for physical stabilization of audio/visual materials
A gift of $50 supports the digitization process of vulnerable historic material
A gift of $150 preserves audio of campus lectures and alumni reminiscences
A gift of $250 saves the film or video recording of a historic Cornell occasion such as a celebration or athletic event
A gift of $500 allows for preservation of a small group of items such as a set of faculty oral histories
A gift of $1,000 digitizes multiple audio and visual materials and supports the cost to put them online
A gift of $2,500 funds larger digitization projects such as a collection of football games or a lecture series
