FY23 Equestrian

The Big Red Equestrian Team provides opportunities to all levels of riders to compete at a national level. We have everything from complete beginners, who may have never had the opportunity to learn to ride, all the way through the most elite and experienced riders. Everyone is equally important. We also provide a place where horses can have second careers.

We have the biggest and best facility and horses in the Ivy League and our team, unlike others, is recognized as varsity. We are the number one choice among the Ivies to host the Championships because of the quality competitions we host. Here at Cornell, our athletes work on not only improving technical skills and strength, but on the mental side of riding. The ability to understand your horse, adapting on the fly, and controlling your own emotions leads to success within our program.

Equestrian is an expensive sport, as our equipment is alive and has needs! Many of our horses are older warriors and need a bit of special care to keep them healthy. We rely on sponsorship and support to be able to take care of our equine athletes at the highest levels!
