The Cornell Women's Lacrosse team culture is built upon hard work, a positive attitude, and team-first bricks that lay the foundations of everything we do. This is a consistent message that alumnae and current players alike have internalized for many years. This shared foundational experience brings our amazing alumnae community together with current student-athletes to support their career exploration and growth opportunities.
During their time at Cornell, our athletes gain training in leadership, inclusivity, and awareness, in addition to the skills developed on the field. We engage with the Big Red Leadership Institute, where senior Natalie Hughes is our student ambassador. And our Social Justice, One Love, and Morgan's Message committees facilitate important workshops and conversations around mental health and diversity.
This year, we are excited to be back out on the field for the first time since 2020. The competitive mindset that develops within our world-class lacrosse program has prepared us well to return to action for a schedule that includes five top-20 opponents.
Despite the myriad of challenges over the past year, we are incredibly proud of the resiliency our women have displayed. Their commitment to our Big Red program and their passion to preserve the strong team culture that many of you worked hard to build is admirable. As we tackled these difficult moments together, we remain grateful for the support from our Cornell Lacrosse family and we thank you.
