Field Hockey FY22

Cornell Field Hockey provides our athletes with a world-class education and a chance to compete for a National Championship. For our team, 2022 will be different. 2022 will be our year. We don’t need to rebuild; we return 10/11 starters and have a ridiculous amount of talent in our incoming class. We will be wiser, stronger, fitter, mentally tougher, more organized, and hungrier than ever before.

We have analyzed our 2021 performances and identified weaknesses that need to be addressed if we are going to challenge for honors in 2022. Our focus for the spring will be on basic skills, individual defense, and first touch. The speed of the court and the different rules that govern the game - the ball must stay on the floor, pushing only and no swinging tackles - will help us immensely and force us out of our comfort zone daily.

We are training, playing, and competing at the highest level in the country and our fundraising efforts allow us to do this. To our alumni and friends, we thank you.
