Make #GivingTuesday special by choosing to support Mobilize AguaClara and our work in innovating water treatment technology.
There is still time to raise funds for Mobilize AguaClara and we so grateful for what our donors have helped us accomplish. I am so excited that the gifts we have received are getting us closer to being able to fund our trip to the Honduras and open doors for water treatment in less privileged areas of the world, and there’s still time left to reach our total of $20,000.
Your gift is crucial to helping us implement our revolutionary 1 L/s plant and creating a future for better water security in small communities all around the world.
How much more can we accomplish together? Would you join the supporters of Mobilize AguaClara and help us reach our goal? Please consider giving to or sharing our project today. Thank you so much for your continued support! We could not do this without you.

I heard of the Honduras trip from Professor Monroe Weber-Shirk’s course Sustainable Municipal Drinking Water Treatment, the content of which I found strongly provoked my interest and curiosity. But what is taught in class is quite theoretical, so I decided to take this chance to join the trip and get to know the actual plant I’ve been learning about and learn as much as I can about water treatment technology.
I believe this trip can provide me plenty of visual and hands-on experience which will broaden my horizon in the field of drinking water treatment and give me the precious opportunities to explore more on the technical side and enhance my ability to make a difference.
During my spare time, I’ve been involving in a social semi-professional fraternity, Alpha Gamma Rho, where I learned about AguaClara from many of my engineering friends who are involved with the team. I have also worked in the Soil & Water Lab of Cornell Cooperative Extension and researched the drainage of storm water.
So far, we've reached 20% of our goal! Thank you to everyone who's donated.
Although this is a great start, we've still got a long way to go to reach our goal of $30,000. Crowdfunding will end November 30, so keep spreading the word, everyone! Think happy thoughts about water treatment!
This week, students in the Aguaclara program shipped out a prefabricated 1 L/s water treatment plant to Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The small scale system will serve as a pilot plant to be tested in low-risk areas, prior to implementation in larger communities. Students who are travelling to Honduras this January, thanks to your generous donations, will be able to see this plant in operation!
Enough to show your support for our program and our mission of bringing clean water to the Global South! Every drop counts!
Enough to cover one student's lodging in both hotels and homestays over the course of the trip.
Enough to purchase a roundtrip plane ticket for one student.
Enough to cover our bus rental from Ithaca to JFK for the first and final legs of our journey.
Enough to pay the guides, translator, and drivers who will accompany us on our community visits and aid in the coordination of our trip.
