Scholarship Drive

$11,075 raised for students by 144 heroes!

Scholarship Drive

Only your support can make students’ dreams come true.

In 2018-19, Cornell awarded more than $270 million in undergraduate financial aid, reaching 44% of undergraduate students. With your immediate help, we can do more. Gifts to the Cornell Undergraduate Scholarship Annual Fund provide financial support for Cornell’s incoming and current students.

Your gift to any annual fund that has special meaning to you helps ensure that every deserving student accepted to Cornell is afforded the opportunity to attend, regardless of financial means, and improves their student experience. Your gift helps students overcome barriers, pursue their passions, and become Cornellians who make the world a better place.

Want to direct your gift to a college or unit annual fund? Click the support button above and select "Other" in the fund designation drop down menu. Tell us where to direct your annual fund support.

Your gifts make a Cornell education possible for these remarkable students—and thousands like them!

“If I was going to go for Cornell’s normal tuition, it would have been very difficult for me to go forward into medicine and also incur further debt. The grants that I got from the university really helped me out with making that decision to come to Cornell… my experience here would not be the same without help.”

—Connor McGuigan '20, CALS

At Cornell, Connor conducts groundbreaking research on cancer metastasis.

“I’ve pretty much wanted to attend Cornell as soon as I started thinking about college. I already knew I wanted to go to vet school, with Cornell’s vet school being my dream, so I decided to apply to do my undergrad here as well, which would hopefully give me a leg up when I applied here for vet school. Luckily as an in-state resident I get reduced tuition, but that still didn’t make college affordable for me. My Cornell grant has helped immensely.”

—Brittany Papa '19, VET '23

During her time as an undergrad, Brittany raised guide dogs. Now, she’s a vet student exploring ways to keep her services affordable for all those in need.

“I chose Cornell because I was offered the opportunity to receive a full tuition scholarship. The scholarship has allowed me to pursue the fullest education I can receive at an Ivy League university and without it, I’m not sure where I’d be. To say that I am grateful is a gross understatement, I’m extremely blessed to be where I am and am here because someone else decided to support student scholarships.”

—Abu Qader '21, Arts & Sciences

Abu invented a computer program, GliaLab, which uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to diagnose breast cancer more accurately than traditional mammograms.

“Financial aid was a big part of my decision to come to Cornell. I wanted to study global health and travel the world to see how health systems worked internationally. That’s hard to do on a budget, and Cornell was really supportive of my desire to be in the field and work in service. The opportunities I’ve had here have opened up what I want to do in the future.”

—Efe Airewele '20, Human Ecology

Efe has used her time at Cornell to travel to Zambia, Ghana, and Tanzania to study healthcare in underserved communities.
