With your help, we raised $14,256 for EWB Cornell’s Tanzania Project, which is 95% of our goal, and there are just a few hours left! All funds will help our team, who are designing a gravity-fed irrigation system to raise water from the Rugufu river to a higher elevation. This will enable easier access to water to the community in Sunuka, Tanzania. Your donations will not only help support the team’s getting to Sunuka, but will also fund the materials necessary to assemble the gravity-fed irrigation system. On behalf of the entire EWB Cornell community, I would like to say a big thank you for your support. Our team could not accomplish our goals without you. In addition, we would like to thank you for helping us spread the word about the work we do at EWB - Cornell. We will be sharing updates on our progress soon via our newsletter and social media pages. Once again, thank you!
We are excited to share that we are nearing the end of a very successful crowdfunding campaign!

We are conducting a second assessment trip to Tanzania this spring. Our team members need plenty of food and clean drinking water to keep them on their feet as they plan how we will go about constructing an immeasurably important irrigation system in the community of Sunuka.
With the help of your donations, we will soon be able to cover the cost of nourishing food and clean drinking water for our team's trip to Tanzania.
Thank you again! Every little bit counts. Our team could not do this without your support.
In just 9 days, 70 supporters like you have helped us raise $5,946 to fund our upcoming project in Tanzania! As you may know, we are working to design and implement an irrigation system in Sunuka, Tanzania that will bring much needed water to the community to support their farms. We are so grateful for your donation - every gift counts!
This project is very important to our entire team. We care deeply about the work we do, and about using our engineering knowledge to provide sustainable solutions to global issues. Thank you sincerely for your support!
Your donation will cover the cost of a day’s worth of food in Tanzania for our team members. Meals include yams, rice, sweet potatoes, fish, papaya and chai tea.
Your donation will cover the cost of drinkable water for EWB members visiting Tanzania. Our members will be spending most of their times outdoors in the sun, thus clean drinking water is important!
Your donation will contribute to the costs for assembling the pump and buying materials such as concrete and hardware tools, without which, our project cannot be completed.
Your donation will contribute to the costs of piping in order to build the irrigation system. The piping will span the large agricultural surface area in Sunuka, Tanzania.
Since Tanzania is a multilingual country, your donation will cover the cost of a language translator for duration of our assessment trip. The translator will accompany our members who travel to Tanzania on future assessment trips, and act as a means of communication between the team and members of the community.
Your donation will cover the fuel costs for the transportation van that will transport EWB members while in Tanzania. The van will transport EWB team members to and from neighboring communities.
Your donation will be used to hire a driver, who will transport EWB team members across Tanzania throughout our assessment trip this summer.
Your donation will cover the airfare cost for two EWB members to Tanzania. Our team members will be collecting data about the area so we can design a functional irrigation system. They will be working alongside individuals in the community to make sure this project is successful and sustainable.
Your donation will cover the airfare cost for all EWB members traveling to Tanzania.
