Cornell Sailing is a top program in the country due to the tremendous and unwavering support of our alumni, families, and friends. We practice and compete as an open (coed) team, which is unique in college athletics. With the help of our alumni and friends, our resources are among the best in the nation, with beautiful Cayuga Lake to showcase our sport.
Our team has an ambitious future on the horizon. We have climbed the rankings to fourth in the country, and have high hopes for success this spring. The new discipline of Women's Team Racing will crown a national champion later this year. It will be hosted at MIT/Harvard, and we will need support getting there. The leadership on the team has stepped up and is ready to unite the team into a strong spring season.
Sailors represent the program with a wide variety of academic interests and different ways of approaching challenges. As a member of our team, you're a member in perpetuity. The time you spend as a member of the roster may be short, but your impact on the program is forever. Our student-athletes do not just represent Cornell athletics, they represent Cornell University.
The pillars of our program have been built on generous philanthropy. We are grateful to our supporters for providing the students with a first-class experience in the sport they love. Our day-to-day experiences and competitive season are a direct result of you. We will be able to perform this year at national-caliber events and welcome our new staff members with Cornell Big Red pride.
